[Other] Could Steve Jobs have agreed to an official biography? According to Simon & Schuster, he has indeed with the book arriving in early 2012.

Isaacson has been working on the long-rumored biography since 2009 and has interviewed Jobs, members of his family, colleagues at Apple and competitors."Having read several of the un-authorized biographies and having listened to Jobs Stanford commencement speech, I’m very much looking forward to this. The story of the man who helped mainstream the CLI (Apple II), GUI (Mac), Multitouch (iPhone and iPad), digital music (iTunes), 3D animation (Pixar), Apple Retail, and more, with his support and input? Yes please.
